Leeds Festival 2013 | Day 3

This is my day 3 of Leeds Festival, if you haven't seen my past few posts see the links below!

Sunday came around quicker than anything and I had dragged myself out of bed my sleeping bag to watch one of my favourite bands at the moment, To Kill A King. They were one of the first acts on the Festival Republic stage and it was really incredible to see that many people go and watch them. Also by that time it had even stopped raining!

Further on into that day I got the chance to see a right load of people because we took the brave decision of not watching Eminem. I would feel so out of place at one of his gigs! We saw Darwin Deez, Palma Violets, Johnny Marr, Imagine Dragons, Chase and Status, Jake Bugg and London Grammar. Imagine Dragons were more amazing than I thought they would be and their live set is so different to how it sounds on the album, but in a good way, there are a lot more drums and it sounded a lot bigger which quite a lot of bands struggle to do. All of the different types of drums (including one that was the size of a person!) used during the performance made it really exciting and visually appealing. Another noteworthy moment was when Imagine Dragons performed "Radioactive." Of course everyone knew the words and was singing along and having a great time, one of my favourites from the whole weekend!

Another band I have been loving this year are London Grammar, I first heard their song Metal and Dust and was immediately captivated by the lead singers voice. They have been compared to Florence and The Machine and Massive Attack and I would 100% recommend anybody to check them out.

I really enjoyed my time at Leeds over the weekend (despite the weather!) and look forward to heading to a couple more festivals next year!
Did you go to Reading or Leeds?
